The Peterborough K. M. Hunter Charitable Foundation has just one grant cycle per calendar year and accepts applications for projects in International Development, Indigenous Communities within Canada and Environmental Sustainability Education. The standard amount for these grants is $5000. Preference is given to small, grassroots projects, particularly those relating to health and education.
Please note that no applications are accepted for medical research grants. In this field, the Foundation sponsors awards for graduate students, which are administered by the University of Toronto.
Deadline for applications is September 15th each year. The Board reviews applications and selects organizations to receive grants in October and all donations are issued in early November each year.
To be considered, applications need to include your organization’s Canadian Charitable Registration Number and most recent financial statements, as well as a description of the project.
